Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center organized ICU Rehab Symposium 2018,
The symposium was locally accredited by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for 5.5 CME hours and chaired by Dr. Waleed Jasim, Critical Care Department Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), UAE.
The symposium was attended by 171 delegates. The delegates were mostly Critical Care Physicians, Anaesthologists, Emergency Medicine Physicians, Nurses and more.
The Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center (CMRC) showcased a successful first installment and highlighted the topics of ICU related morbidities, including quality of care, safety, weaning, rehabilitation and its outcomes. At the same time the symposium covered Interactive panel discussions related to patient’s experiences and improving outcomes of long-term ventilated patients that is vital to day to day rehabilitation in the intensive care unit (ICU) setting.
The symposium hosted keynote international speakers from world-renowned organizations such as Dr. Ross Zafonte from Harvard University, Dr. Ray Onders from University Hospitals Case Medical Center, Dr. Selina Parry from University of Melbourne as well as local speakers such as Dr. Howard Podolsky from Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center (CMRC), Dr. Hussain Al Awadhi from Mafraq Hospital, Dr. Waleed Jasim from Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Dr. Sadeq Qadri from Mafraq Hospital, Dr. Wael Sary from Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center (CMRC) and Dr. Sabahat Wasti from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD).
