Biography
Dr. Suhaila Kallada is a specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center.
She brings with her an experience of over 8 years as a healthcare professional.
She started with her own Special Clinics dealing with pain management and rehabilitation after which, she provided clinical training on Orthopedic and Rehabilitation to Medical Graduates at Pariyaram Medical College.
She has also worked as an Assistant Professor (Department of physical medicine and neurological rehabilitation) at the Academy of Medical Sciences (Kerala, India). She has served as a Physiatrist and Head of Department of Physical Medicine at MIMS Hospital (Calicut, India) as well as a visiting consultant at Medicity Polyclinic. In the UAE, she has worked as Physiatrist at Universal Hospital (Abu Dhabi).
Dr. Suhaila Kallada completed her Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Government Medical College (Calicut) in 2002; followed by a DPMR and Diplomate of National Board of Examinations – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the same institute. She is specially trained in Rehabilitation of Neuro-Orthopedic cases, Spinal Cord and Brain injury rehabilitation, Cerebral Palsy Management and Interventional Physiatry.
Dr. Suhaila is specialized in Neurorehabilitation for Stroke, multiple sclerosis, Neurodegenerative disorders, Spinal cord injury rehabilitation Neuropathic pain management, Gait analysis, and spasticity management. As well in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation-in Joint or muscle pain syndromes, Arthropathies, post- joint replacement surgery rehabilitation, Prosthetic/Orthotic prescription and check out.
Additionally, she is specialized in Cerebral palsy Intense Rehabilitation under Ukrainian Kozyavkin therapy techniques for all categories of Cerebral palsy children below the age of 16 years. As well as, Interventional Physiatry procedures- Ultrasound-guided Intraarticular/joint infiltrations, Prolotherapy injection, soft tissue/trigger point injections, Wrist block, Therapeutic Botulinum Toxin injection in reducing Spasticity, Dystonia.
She hails from India and is fluent in English, Malayalam, and Hindi.
